Welcome to Dreadwinter.com!

Hey there, I'm Vogy Bear, the developer of Dreadwinter, and welcome to the official Dreadwinter website, and my first blog post! This is an introductory post, going over what the goal is for this site, and my upcoming plans.

I set up this website in part, so that I would have somewhere I could freely talk about my game and what I'm working on. It's not that there's things I don't talk about on youtube or reddit, but I'm a bit more careful with things like sticking to a topic and trying to not bore people before they wishlist, so I don't always write as much as I'd like to. I'd like to use this site to include a lot more detail in my updates, for anyone that's interested. This may also just be me shouting into the wind, which is fine as well.

There's still a huge amount of content to add, and I have yet to actually work on Dreadwinter in 2025 (though it's only been a week). My plan was to quickly get the website up and running, then get back to work, but illness got in the way.

Before I stopped, I was working on designing Neo Solara, the financial capital of Lindengard, the country the game takes place in. Here's a screenshot of what's currently done:

There's a few more areas I plan to add, in order to fit in some shops/businesses that are part of the game. There's potential for more areas, since it's a large city, but I'll probably add those if/when I come up with other ideas for locations. I'll do a more extensive write-up once it's closer to completion.

After that, I'm going to work on a youtube devlog, which is quite overdue, and then the next feature I plan to work on is the game intro, which has 3 different versions. I expect this will take a while, so I haven't lined anything else up right after.

That's everything I wanted to cover for now, I want to get the website published, so don't want to get too caught up in this ^_^.
